Homeland Security Field Test Kit

Field Test Kit for Anthrax/Ricin and Other Bio-Hazards

'The BioCheck™ Kit will screen in minutes for multiple pathogens. Any biohazard that is toxic in powder form (e.g., anthrax and ricin toxin) can be detected by this kit.'

Advantages of the BioCheck Powder Screening Test Kit

Fast - Get results in less than five minutes

Performance - Detects all known bio-toxins and pathogens dispersed as solid powders. First responders know almost immediately if they and those they protect are at risk of a bio-warfare agent.

Easy - The results are read as simple color changes and the kit can be used after minutes of training.

Save Money Avoid costly, complex tests for samples that test negative.

No Instrumentation - Each kit is a self-contained unit with everything needed for sample assessment.

Long Shelf Life - The BioCheck™ product is stable for at least one year.

Proven - The product was used throughout 2002 by HAZMAT teams from the Montgomery County and District of Columbia Fire Departments in response to actual 911 calls suspecting anthrax. In more than 80% of calls, the suspicious material could be ruled out immediately as a possible bio-terror agent. The product has also been successfully tested with actual anthrax and has been extensively evaluated by a nationally recognized testing laboratory

The protocol is fast and easy to perform: results are obtained in five minutes or less without instrumentation. A sample is first collected on two swabs then each swab is immersed in a solution that produces a color change only if the agent being tested for is present. The kit also contains a control that is used to confirm that a negative result is not due to a failure of the test. The product is now a primary screening test used by HAZMAT teams in the District of Columbia and has been incorporated into that department’s standard operating procedures (SOPs). About a dozen other departments and agencies throughout the U.S. and overseas are now evaluating or using the product. Please contact us to order or for more information.
